The Star Tent provides excellent protection for the area directly under the canopy. While the sides are open, the wide diameter ensures that a significant central area remains dry during a light to moderate downpour, protecting your core setup.
For hard surfaces, we highly recommend using weight bags, such as sandbags or water bags1111, at each of the tent's anchor points. This provides the necessary weight to keep the tent secure without the need for stakes.
Yes, the adjustable central pole provides flexibility. It helps compensate for minor variations in ground level, allowing you to achieve a taut and stable pitch even if the surface is not perfectly flat.
The main advantage is its open, inviting, and dramatic presence. It defines a large, covered space without creating a visual barrier, making it ideal for attracting crowds, covering large products like vehicles, or creating a central hub for festivals and outdoor gatherings.
The key is even tension. After placing the central pole, work your way around the tent, staking each leg out in a star pattern. Adjust the tension on the ropes 2 at each point incrementally until the canopy is smooth and taut, avoiding over-tightening any single point first.
While capacity varies based on setup, as a general guide, the 20 ft. tent can comfortably shelter around 15-20 standing people. The largest 52 ft. tent can accommodate over 70 standing people, making it suitable for large-scale events.
